‘Hunton Heroes’ is our group specifically for service pupils who attend our school. We are proud to serve the military community, and have excellent links and pastoral support in place for service pupils. Mrs. Kennedy is our Service Pupil Lead and meets the children regularly – for group and individual sessions. She has a Hunton Heroes email address should parents wish to contact her for support, to discuss deployment, or the need for additional pastoral support.
If you are a service pupil joining our school Mrs. Kennedy will make contact ahead of your move to ensure we are fully prepared for the transition.
Our ‘Hunton Heroes’ group are very active in school. They represent Hunton & Arrathorne at events such as Armed Forces Day, the Festival of Remembrance and enjoy taking part in live and virtual events organised by the North Yorkshire Service Pupil Champion. Alongside this, they enjoy close links with our governors who meet them regularly to find out about their experiences in school.
