How To Apply for a Place

If you wish to have a look around the school you would be more than welcome - please contact the School office and make an appointment at a mutually convenient time. We have a school open morning on a Saturday in the autumn term when you can meet the staff, have a guided tour of the school and ask any questions you may have. Details will be on our calendar nearer the date in the autumn term.

If you then wish to apply for a place, you need to do so via North Yorkshire County Council who handle all school admissions. Please follow use this link below for further details and to apply for a place at the School Admissions page of the North Yorkshire County Council website.

North Yorkshire County Council Admissions Policy

As a Community Primary School, the Local Authority is in full control of our admissions arrangements. This means that our school and its Governing Body do not make any decisions whatsoever as regards the selection of pupils who apply for a place at our school.

For a full breakdown of the admissions policy in use for our school, including:

  • the arrangements there are in place for selecting the pupils who apply
  • the oversubscription criteria (how the Local Authority offers places if there are more applicants than places)
  • an explanation of the process parents need to follow if they want to apply for their child to attend our school
